After cancelling our last meeting due to inclement weather, we had our meeting for the month of March.  We briefly discussed a few topics as well as a few plans  for the future.  Here’s a quick recap of what we discussed:

Meeting was called to order at 7:10 by Erich Arvidson and we had 4 people in attendance.

Erich gave an update about the local initiative for Proposition 2 and Proposition 3.  There is a local, unaffiliated committee working on the passage of the propositions.  The committee has asked us to attend their information meeting on March 30th at the Methodist church.  The committee also indicated that it is about $500 short of their current fundraising goal and would like local, interested citizens to help donate.  The funds will be used for informational mailers and other “get out the vote” initiatives by the committee. Please mail checks to:

The next item that was discussed was Pick Up Boonville that will happen on Apr 6th from 9-12.  We are putting together a team, and we need volunteers to come help.  We have positions for people to pick up trash, and for people to sit at our table to pass out water, or coffee/cocoa depending on the weather. We need all the help we can get!

The last item that was discussed was the resignation of our treasurer, Connie Schneider.  Connie said that she would like to spend more time with her family at this time and would no longer be able to dedicate the time required for the treasurer position. She has committed to still be active within the group.

We will need to fill the open position for treasurer. Those in attendance decided that would be best handled at the April meeting when we had enough time for interested parties to attend the meeting.

We need everyone to let us know about local events in your area so that we can make sure to have a presence.  We’d like to have a small group of “booth sitters”  that would be willing to help pass out water and help with some voter registration.  We need people who would be willing to be friendly and like to sit in the shade.

We hope to see everyone at our meeting on Apr 4th at 7 pm.

Help Us Help Our Community!

We are still looking for a few people that are willing to make monthly pledges. 100% of all funds go toward helping our local community. We use these funds to cover entry fees to county fairs and for when flyers are needed. Every dollar helps!
